AA – Automobile Association

About the Automobile Association

The Automobile Association was founded in 1905 by passionate drivers who wanted to be treated fairly. Since that June of over a hundred years ago, many things have stayed the same. On that summer day, four driving enthusiasts gathered in London to establish the Automobile Association. The association still aims at protecting motorists today. Initially, it had 90 members, but it has grown enormously and reached over 15 million, which makes AA the largest motoring organisation within the United Kingdom.
Their first focus has always been breakdown cover, but they have now expanded in other fields, such as finance, insurance, leisure and lifestyle services.
